Summit School District is seeking a 1.0 Teacher or Special Service Provider to serve as a Teacher for the High School Day Treatment Program. This individual: Plans instruction and assessment aligned with District learner outcomes and State achievement standards. Supervises assigned students and maintains a positive learning environment including management of behavioral systems. Adapt instruction to meet the individual learning needs of all students resulting in an increased probability of advancing their achievement. Primary professional efforts are directed toward the development and success of their individual professional goals and specifically towards instructional improvement and the development of expertise in all areas of instruction. Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Endorsement in the field or progress toward finalizing endorsement
- Active teacher or special service provider authorization or license issued by the State of Colorado in the area of special education or special service provider (SSP Counselor, SSP Psychologist, SSP Social Worker)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
