SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist classroom teacher by providing supplemental instruction for students under the supervision of a licensed teacher for students.

I. Support instruction and reinforce the assigned content to students.

2. Implement and follow lesson plans designed by teachers using the District curriculum and, when applicable, grade student work under supervision. Specialist instruction may include special events such as programs and field

days as agreed upon by the building Principal.

3. Use instructional equipment, including computers, in individualized group activities.

4. Communicate with teachers and other staff the academic and/or behavioral progress of students.

5. Attend staff, team meetings, parent conferences, professional development, and events when appropriate.

6. Reinforce academic curriculum and/or District policies in daily job performance.

7. Act as Substitute Teacher in emergency situations.
